COLLINS PRIMARY MATHS is based on the learning objectives of The Framework for Teaching Mathematics (part of the National Strategy). The scheme takes interactive whole-class teaching as its main method of delivery, but with opportunities for differentiated group work and individual practice. Pupil activities which consolidate Number and Measures, Shape and Space work. There are three levels of activities. Refresher starts at a lower level and helps pupils refresh skills. Practice provides core pupil practice. Challenge provides activities which challenge pupils further in the lesson objectives. The Pupil Book objectives correspond to the Framework for Summer Term, Year 5.
