About Conrad Voss Bark

Conrad Voss Bark, former BBC parliamentary correspondent and fly fishing correspondent of The Times, was a regular contributor to The Field and other sporting and angling publications for more than thirty years. His various angling books include A History of Fly Fishing and A Fly on the Water. Until his death in 2000, he lived on the banks of the Lyd with his wife Anne, another fishing enthusiast who runs the Arundell Arms, a veritable Mecca for fly fishers in Britain. Eric Restall, compiler of The Angler's Quotation Book (also published by Hale), spent the whole of his working life in book publishing. Following early retirement he started a new career teaching family history to mature students, but only in the close season. He lives in Hindhead, Surrey, close to the Hampstead border.
