About Darren W. Pietersen

Darren Pietersen is a herpetologist specialising in African reptiles and amphibians. He is research director at the non-profit Tikki Hywood Foundation, and a research associate in the Department of Zoology at the University of Pretoria. Luke Verburgt is a zoological scientist specialising in herpetology, and has worked across 19 African countries. He is director of the consultancy Enviro-Insight and extraordinary lecturer at the University of Pretoria. John Davies is a project coordinator at the Endangered Wildlife Trust. He has spent 12 years in the tourism industry, leading tours to at least 15 African countries.
