Summary
In 1940 two babies are baptised by the Reverend Leo Midgley. Banished to a tiny Westmoreland parish for his unorthodoxy, Leo sees the children as destined for each other. He indoctrinates them with his distorted convictions and a tragic drama unfolds. The author's novels include The White Cutter.
