This encyclopaedia aims to provide a synthesis of the major fields of palaeobiology and is published in association with the Palaeontological Society. The book is divided into six sections and the final section includes information on techniques, a gazeteer of societies, organizations and journals and also collections and an additional section on the history of palaeontology. The book is suitable for use with graduate and undergraduate courses in palaeobiology, palaeontology and evolution. It may also be useful as a reference source in the areas of geology, geochemistry, biology, botany, zoology and environmental studies.
