The Cambridge Companion to Masaccio explores the visual, intellectual, and religious culture of Renaissance Florence in the age of Masaccio, 1401-1428. Written by a team of internationally renowned scholars and conservators, the essays in this volume investigate the artistic, civic, and sacred contexts of Masaccio's works and the sites in which they were seen.
