A pocket-sized phrase book for tourists and business travellers wishing to speak Romanian. It contains chapters on useful everyday phrases sub-divided into compartments. Each title has chapters on the usual phrase book subjects: hotels, camping and caravanning, travel (by rail, boat, air, bus and local transport), motoring, restaurants, post office and health. Where appropriate there are recognition lists of words and signs that may be heard or seen, as well as particular phrases that which may be said in reply. The limited pronunciation of each word or phrase is shown alongside or underneath the foreign language translation. An extensive menu reader makes for easy identification of dishes and methods of cooking, and at the end of each book there's a mini-dictionary of 1200 words that aims to help increase word power.
