Donald Meichenbaum, PhD, is Distinguished Professor Emeritus, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Cananda. He is currently Research Director of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention in Miami, Florida. He is one of the founders of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and was also voted one of the ten most influential psychotherapists of the twentieth century. He has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Clinical Division of the American Psychological Association.
