Tilda Morte is the beautiful but evil madam residing over her girls in The Garden of Eden, an 18C raucous whore house in a very bawdy and liberal thinking London. Her tortures, in the forms of life lessons, are brutal and sometimes fatal and the girls come to almost depend on them with a strange vulnerability. A highly respected and admired lady of town, she covets the attention of shady and questionable characters who also have wealth and sway. Unfortunately for Tilda Morte her girls learn from her and one in particular, the most harshly treated, discovers that anyone can become victim and to usurp is a temptation too much to ignore.
