Year after year, PRECALCULUS: FUNCTIONS AND GRAPHS leads the way in helping students like you succeed in their Precalculus courses. Its clear explanations and examples and exercises featuring a variety of real-life applications make the content understandable and relatable. This 13th edition of Swokowski and Cole's bestselling text is consistently praised for being at just the right level for Precalculus students. Perhaps most important, this book effectively prepares readers for further courses in mathematics.

About Earl Swokowski (late of Marquette University)

Earl Swokowski authored multiple editions of numerous successful textbooks, including CALCULUS; CALCULUS OF A SINGLE VARIABLE; FUNDAMENTALS OF COLLEGE ALGEBRA; and PRECALCULUS: FUNCTIONS AND GRAPHS, all published by Cengage Learning Brooks/Cole. Jeffery A. Cole has been teaching mathematics and computer science at Anoka-Ramsey Community College since fall 1981. He started working on the Swokowski series of precalculus texts in 1985 as an ancillary author, and has been a co-author since 1991. His contribution to the Swokowski texts also includes joining the revision team of the calculus text in 1989.
