About Elias Kupfermann

Elias Kupfermann has been carrying out historical research in the United Kingdom for over thirty years. He has a BA in History and Archaeology from the University of Wales, and an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester. He is currently studying for a PhD in History, at the Centre for English Local History, University of Leicester. He writes a local history column covering Berkshire and Buckinghamshire for a local newspaper. Elias gives regular talks on his passion for history and make new and exciting discoveries. He is also an archaeologist and has excavated sites throughout Europe and the Middle East. Born in Belfast, and brought up in a community steeped in history, it isn't surprising that a childhood interest became a lifelong passion. Carol Dixon-Smith taught history at secondary level before going on to research the subject for academic purposes. She has been a full-time Bookseller and Events Manager for many years, is the founder and Director of the Thames Valley History Festival, and is an active member of the Windsor Local History Group as well as Editor of their journal 'Windlesora'.
