"Keeping Glasgow in Stitches" was the name given to a unique, year-long, city-wide project of embroidery and banner-making which involved thousands of Glaswegians in charting the social and political history of the city in thread. This illustrated book, which features the banners in full and in detail, adds words and photographs to capture the spirit of a remarkable place. Writers include William Hunter, Marsella Averisti and Liz Lockhead. But the real contributors are the people of Glasgow. This book is published in conjunction with Glasgow museums and art galleries.
