Dido Partridge's childhood as the daughter of an exotic operatic soprano and her counter-tenor lover was spent mainly in the dressing rooms of opera houses. When she discovers that her partner has been entertaining another woman, Dido books the first flight out of Heathrow and ends up in Corfu.
