About Elizabeth Longford

Elizabeth Longford was a renowned biographer and has written books on Queen Victoria, Wellington, Byron, Wilfred Scawen Blunt and the present Queen Mother. Her Victoria RI (1964) won the James Tait Black memorial prize. Her pocket biography on Queen Victoria was published in 1999 and her memoirs, 'The Pebbled Shore' in 2004.
