As an allergy sufferer, the author of this encyclopaedia considers herself fortunate in having been able to stabilize her condition, and consequently wishes to pass on information which it has taken her years to accumulate. In compiling the book, she has endeavoured to cover all the questions she has been asked over the years, on topics ranging from advice on pregnancy, allergic babies, weaning, hyperactivity and other allergies in children, to the many and varied manifestations of allergic illness in adults.
