About Emilie Dufresne

Emilie Dufresne is a writer whose talents range from experimental and innovative poetry to comics and children's books. She is interested in testing the limits of genres and forms in her works and on the crossing of genres, focussing particularly in the similarities between poetry and comics. Creativity and technology in education always inspired Jasmine in school, leading her onto Media and Film Studies in college. Jasmine thrived at creating film and design in these years, and winning a college award for one of her projects really drove her to continue on to university. Jasmine studied Media Production at the University of Lincoln, which offered a wide range of creative career paths. It was from here that she continued to grow her skills and passion within Design. After graduating Jasmine went on to creating branding work for local small businesses before joining the BookLife Publishing team, where she has designed over 90 non-fiction books. Jasmine's style is colourful and playful and she enjoys adding her passions for lettering and illustration into her design work.
