When the children of Mistletoe Farm learn that their cousins' beautiful town house has burned down they feel terribly sad. None-the-less Jane, Jack and Susan are nervous about sharing their ramshackle farm with the snooty Melisande, Cyril and Roderick and soon the sparks fly between the six cousins as they struggle to adjust to their new life - but they enjoy lots of country adventures along the way.
