About Esther Freud

Esther Freud is the author of nine novels, including Hideous Kinky, Peerless Flats, Gaglow and The Wild. She was named as one of Granta's Best of Young British Novelists in 1993 and Hideous Kinky was adapted into a film in 1998. Freud is also an actor and co-founder of the women's theatre company Norfolk Broads. She lives in London and Suffolk.
