Alfred and Mary Watkins are a childless couple -- until the day after Alfred brings home three giant eggs. Surely enough, the eggs soon hatch, and out come three baby dinosaurs! Alfred and Mary don't care in the least that they now have such unusual children, but soon the playful dinosaurs begin growing. They outgrow the house -- then they outgrow the entire town.
