The Promised Land: Property Law Reform by General editor Professor Robert Rennie
In 2004 the law relating to the ownership of land in Scotland was radically altered with the coming into effect of the Abolition of Feudal Tenure etc (Scotland) Act 2000, the Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004. The abolition of the feudal system in Scotland poses new challenges for all those affected by this change in the law and raises issues not previously experienced within the Scottish legal system. In response to this knowledge gap, Professor Rennie has completed a collection of essays which relate to the various aspects of property and Conveyancing law and cover many of the difficult issues which arisen within this legal area. All key legislation is covered, including; *Abolition of Feudal Tenure etc. (Scotland) Act 2000 *Land Reform Act 2003 *Title Conditions (Scotland) Act 2003 *Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004 *Civil Partnership Act 2004 *Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 *ARTL (Electronic Communications) (Scotland) Order 2006 Professor Robert Rennie is a Partner with Harper MacLeod in Glasgow and the Professor of Conveyancing at the University of Glasgow.
