About Gwen Kirkwood

Gwen Kirkwood was born on a Yorkshire farm and went to Agricultural College before marrying a Scottish dairy farmer. Their life on a Dumfriesshire farm inspires the authentic background for Gwen's Scottish farming sagas.


A long-time member of the Romantic Novelists Association, Gwen won the Elizabeth Goudge trophy back in 2000 and went on to publish two Scotland-based book series with Accent Press, and has written over thirty novels in total.
