Watching the Swallows: A Book of Bird Poems by Harry Tennant

No budding ornithologist should be without Watching the Swallows. - Telegraph

A stylish gift-book anthology of 50 poems for bird-lovers, perfect for all ages.

Published in partnership with the RSPB, the 50 poems in this striking little gift book celebrate birds of every feather - from the cuckoo in her nest to kingfishers by the river, eagles soaring over the mountains and wild geese returning south for the winter.

In their clarity and considerable charm, these poems are chosen to appeal to readers aged eight to one hundred and eight, including classics from masters of the genre, one or two overlooked gems and recent verses by contemporary writers.

With five sections to choose between - Outside Your Window, By the Water, In Among the Trees, On the Wing and Out in the Fields - this collection has something for everyone and would make a perfect gift for bird-lovers ... young and old alike!
