About Jean-Francois Chaix

Philippe Bourseiller, five-time winner of the prestigious World Press Prize, travels the earth photographing wild and unexplored places. Widely acknowledged for his mastery of light, colour and composition, he contributes regularly to magazines such as National Geographic, Life, Geo, Stern and Airone. Jean-Francois Chaix is a freelance journalist, translator and travel writer who has travelled extensively in North America. He collaborated previously with Philippe Bourseiller on Call of the Desert: The Sahara. Gary Ferguson has written nature articles for dozens of magazines. He won the prestigious Lowell Thomas Award for Through the Woods: A Journey Through America's Forests. Roger Cans is an evironmental writer who contributes to the French newspaper Le Monde.
