No Hands But Ours Summary

No Hands But Ours: Giving and Receiving Care by Jennifer Rees Larcombe

Previously called God's Gloves, this book is by Jennifer Rees-Larcombe who shot to stardom when she experienced a sudden and dramatic healing from an illness which had kept her wheelchair-bound for eight years. It was out of those eight wilderness years that this book grew. As a celebrity Christian, her illness was well-publicized, and she was the focus of endless attention - much of it unwelcome. She developed a keen sense of what was helpful to people in need and what wasn't, and in this book tells many simple stories to affirm that people do not need to be gifted or special to communicate the love of God. Small acts of kindness and love reflect far more powerfully than fine words, and are in every Christian's ability. Jennifer Rees-Larcombe is the author of Children's Bible Story Book, and the autobiographical Beyond Healing and Unexpected Healing.
