Introducing UNACO - the United Nations Anti Crime Organisation - an elite team of agents who battle the world's deadliest criminals. When the mission looks impossible, the world calls upon UNACO.

The most ingenious criminal in the world has come up with his most spectacular exploit, to kidnap the mother of the president of the United States and hold her and the Eiffel Tower to ransom.

He hires for his team:
* a top weapons expert, who can steal and use the newest, most secret military equipment
* the best cat burglar, who can scale any heights

Faced with this audacious crime of the century, the world's top politicians can only turn to UNACO and its team.

About John Denis

Alistair MacLean, the son of a Scots minister, was brought up in the Scottish Highlands. In 1941 he joined the Royal Navy. The two and a half years he spent aboard a wartime cruiser gave him the background for HMS Ulysses, his remarkably successful first novel, published in 1955. He is now recognized as one of the outstanding popular writers of the 20th century, the author of 29 worldwide bestsellers, many of which have been filmed.
