Tell it Me Again by John Fuller
This second novel by the author of Flying to nowhere, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize and won the Whitbread Prize in 1983, tells of a composer's passion for a black jazz singer. There soon develops a mystery, which leads to pursuit, bewilderment and the final dissolution of his fleeting adventure. John Fuller has been a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford for the past twenty years and is the author of many volumes of poetry and a collection of short stories, The Adventures of Speedfall (1985). His Selected Poems appeared in Penguin in 1985.
