Between Spaces: Smith Miller and Hawkinson Architecture, Judith Turner Photography by John Hejduk
Smith-Miller + Hawkinson gained international prominence with the completion of the Glass Museum in Corning, New York, constructed entirely of glass walls held in place by marine-quality fittings. This monograph has in-depth examinations of five projects - the Corning Glass Center, a loft for Robert Greenberg, Museum of Modern Art, New York fabrications, North Carolina Museum of Art amphitheatre and outdoor cinema and Pier 11 - and two unbuilt projects - ferry terminal guidelines and Shilla-Daechi Building.
