The Republic of Heaven: A Catholic-Anglican Future by Jonathan Clark
The Catholic tradition within the Church of England is faced with radical choices and opportunities for change. It used to be said that Anglo-Catholics were against the present and nostalgic for the past. But this cannot continue. Not only the ordination of women, but also radical changes in society, mean that this part of the Church can no longer exist as a slightly reformed reflection of the Roman Catholic Church, but can now go ahead in new ways in its own right. It is time to rediscover and rebuild the catholic tradition in the Church of England.
