Poly Bernatene studied drawing and painting at the Buenos Aires School of Fine Art, where he is now a visiting professor. As well as working in animation and comics, Poly has illustrated over 60 children's books. He lives in Argentina with his wife and two young children.
Jonathan Emmett was born in Leicestershire in 1965, the son of a factory fitter and a primary school teacher. He has written over fifty children's books and his work has been translated into over 30 different languages. As well as writing picture books such as Here Be Monsters, The Santa Trap, Bringing Down the Moon, The Princess and the Pig and Ruby Flew Too, he also writes and paper-engineers pop-up books. His books have won several awards including the Red House Children's Book Award for Pigs Might Fly. The Princess and the Pig won the Hillingdon Picture Book of the Year Award, the Vermont Red Clover Award, and the Utah Beehive Book Award. Jonathan lives in Nottingham with his wife, Rachel, and his children, Max and Laura.
