A Blessing on the Moon
Summary
Chaim Skebelski is shot dead by Nazi soldiers and his body dumped in a pit with 3000 other Jews from his Polish village. He climbs out, unaware he is dead, and remains on earth for 50 years, meeting others who are in limbo. His final act before he is reborn is to return the moon to the sky.
