Summary

An adventurous tale of mischief, humour and deception, Nicander and Marius face danger of the highest order, where nothing in the land of the Roman Empire is quite what it seems.

The Silk Tree Summary

The Silk Tree by Julian Stockwin

After escaping the sack of Rome in 549 AD two adventurers, the Greek Nicander and former legionary Marius, dare all to steal the secret of silk from China. Rooted in the historical record, this is an epic quest across a vast geographical canvas from legendary Sinae to the vast steppes and deserts of Central Asia to imperial Constaninople. It is also a tale of friendship, courage, myth and love.
