The Hunters and the Hunted by Karl Ammann
This photographic study of the constant cycles of life and death in the bush of East Africa is based on months of observation which has provided new evidence about how these predators interact. East Africa today offers an extraordinary spectacle of animal life. Millions of herbivores throng the grasslands and provide food for an array of predators. Spending months in the Serengeti-Mara between Lake Victoria's south-eastern shores and the eastern part of the Rift Valley, Karl and Kathrine Amman photographed unique sequences following the stalk, hunt and kill of the lion, cheetah, wild dog and other animals. This text was written in collaboration with Ian Parker. The authors' previous book was "Cheetah".
