One of the greatest challenges facing an entrepreneur is finding funding for their new venture. There are two primary sources of new venture funding, the formal sector - banks, venture capitalists and the stock market and the informal sector - family, friends and private investors. This book presents findings from an Oxford University study of the informal venture capital market and aims to give practical advice for entrepreneurs seeking funds for their ventures.
