France: The Rough Guide by Kate Baillie
France expects to receive nearly two million first-time British visitors in 1995, many attracted by the combined effects of the Channel Tunnel opening and special marketing efforts by the ferry companies. This fourth edition Rough Guide to France has been updated accordingly. It contains a wider range of hotels and restuarants, with as much attention to the top of the range as the bottom. The emphasis on food and wine has been consolidated, with wine information highlighting what to drink in each region. There is extra coverage of the Jura, Massif Central, Loire and Alps, with a fresh series of walks featured.
