About Kathleen Olmstead

Kathleen Olmstead is the author of several Classic Starts books, including Anne of Avonlea and Moby Dick, as well as Jacques Cousteau: A Life Under the Sea and Matthew Henson: The Quest for the North Pole, both in the Sterling Biographies series. She has also written three other Silver Penny Story books: Pied Piper of Hamelin (9781402783494), Thumbelina (9781402783524), and The Steadfast Tin Soldier (9781402783517). Maurizio Quarello has illustrated nearly 30 children's books in 13 languages, including Sterling's Silver Penny editions of Jack and the Beanstalk (9781402784330), Rumpelstiltskin (9781402783401), and The Frog Prince (9781402784293). Quarello's work has appeared in numerous exhibitions worldwide and he has received various national and international prizes. Maurizio teaches illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata.
