Kellie Hamill is married with 6 children, 2 dogs, and 2 tortoises. Originally born in Newry Co. Down, Northern Ireland she has lived in Blackburn, Lancashire since the late seventies. She is the oldest of seven children. She is a self-taught seamstress and has run her own business for fifteen years, whilst raising her children, Niamh 20, Sonny 18, Hatton 11, Cara 4, Cove 4 and Honey. The bumblebee book was written in memory of her daughter Honey Bonnick Gardiner, Honey B for short. She absolutely loves reading and writing and has written poems since as far back as she can remember. Children's poems, sympathy poems, or just poems about how she feels at that time. But children's poems are her favourite. She always involves her children when writing poetry or stories and loves all their imaginative ideas. She hopes you enjoy the Bumblebee book as much as she loved writing it.
