East Meets West Summary

East Meets West: Global Design for Contemporary Interiors by Kelly Hoppen

Inspired by her travels throughout Asia and Europe, Kelly Hoppen presents here a blend of East and West, considering colour, fabric, texture and objets d'art in a broad sweep of decorative influence that embraces Southeast Asia from China to Japan. On a practical level, this book addresses particular design concerns from ideas for the windows, walls, furnishings through to tabletops and mantelpieces. Rather than recreating the look of a particular country, this style shows how to incorporate elements from different cultures within a home setting.
