A collection of tips covering all versions of UNIX System V, up to Release 4.2. It is designed to help new users implement everyday tasks, and to show experienced users how to work more effectively with UNIX. The authors present tips on UNIX shell programming, UNIX tools and program development under UNIX. There are also tips on communicaitons and networking, as well as on managing and administering UNIX systems. One key part of the book addresses the X Window environment, and shows how to customize the windowing environment. The book includes the Motif and OPEN LOOK interfaces, and is organized into various categories for easy access.
