Pita Ten: v. 8 by Koge-Donbo
Chapter 43: Koboshi has just confessed her feelings for Kotarou. Meanwhile, Misha-san is busy studying for her Angel exam and fortunately (or unfortunately) Sasha has managed to get the topic/goal of her exam from the PTB. At school, Takashi tried to push Koboshi and Kotarou together only to be forced to reveal his long hidden feelings for Koboshi to Kotarou. Kotarou turns down Koboshi and comes to gripes with the knowledge that it is Misha-san that he truly loves. He rushes over to Misha-san's house and confesses his love and Misha-san returns his love having finally, herself, come to grips with the fact that her Kotaroh-kun is not this Kotarou-kun. Sasha reveals that, The goal of your exam is to make the human, Kotarou Higuchi, happy. Chapter 44: Misha's angel exam has one condition-she can only use her angel powers once during the exam. Takashi failed to be accepted by National (a school he applied for) and has a very foul mood shift. Misha has returned to glomping and drapping herself on Kotarou. Koboshi doesn't come to school so Kotarou, worried that he is the reason she isn't there, goes to her house. Kotarou never gains an audience with her and leaves empty handed only to...run into Takashi as he leaves. Takashi is furious with Kotarou for dropping Koboshi and eventually punches him. We learn that Takashi has been accepted to Joudai and is welcome to take the entrance exam. Kotarou wonders if he is really happy. Chapter 45: Misha-san pulls another vanishing act. Koboshi is absent again. Takashi apologizes for hitting Kotarou. On his way for home, Kotarou stops by to look at Joudai and spots Takashi doing the same. Upon being recognized, Takashi quickly darts off. Kotarou decides to call Koboshi and after several rings, he leaves his apology on the answering machine. Kotarou goes on a frantic search for Misha-san and ends up finding her praying at a local shrine in the pouring rain. Kotarou makes a promise to help make Misha-san a full-fledged angel. Kotarou seeks out Sasha for advice. She reveals that if Misha-san fails her exam, she will vanish/disappear forever and should she pass, she will be called back to Heaven. Either way, Kotarou will lose her forever in just three days time. Chapter 46: Kotarou becomes awfully clingy and refuses to leave Misha-san's side. Koboshi has been horribly depressed and has been listening to Kotarou's apology over and over again. And then she sees the sun rising and decides to do something new with her life. Takashi has suffered a similar depression, except in his case...his mom has told him that she is willing to rearrange her entire life, get a job and move to a new house just so she can help him attend a decent school. Takashi sees the sunset and questions what he really wants to do with his life. Kotarou and Misha have done nothing but cuddle, kiss and talk. And then the morning sun arises on the day of Kotarou's exams and Misha talks a reluctant Kotarou into going out there and actually taking his exams. Witness the radical redesign of Koboshi! No cat ears! She sports a new uber-cute doo and a new outlook on life. Koboshi cheers up Kotarou and gives him a good luck charm. Chapter 46 also includes: Kotarou realizes that even though Koboshi may be putting on a front, she is standing on her own two feet as she does it and he should follow her lead. Kotarou goes in there and gives his exams his all. He meets up with Takashi later and notices that he is also trying hard to stand on his own. Kotarou soul-searches for a way to help Misha-san. Chapter 47: Kotarou passed his entrance exam. Kotarou finds Misha-san and tells her she has to stand on her own. He tells Misha-san one last time that he loves her and that she has to use her powers to get rid of his ability to see angels because that will be the only way he'll ever be able to truly move forward on his own. Misha uses her powers and gains her angelhood. In the final pages we get to see the kids post-graduation ceremony. We learn that Hiroshi failed to get into National and will be attending Joudai with Kotarou. Takashi won't be attending Joudai, but rather a local public school down the street. Koboshi wants them all to stay in touch (no word on what school she's going to). The day also happens to be Kotarou's birthday. It is revealed what a demon's purpose is and a sly what if is raised concerning Kotarou's mother. The final pages have Kotarou thinking about his journey forward and we see him catching up with his friends. FIN.
