About Laurie Taylor

Professor of sociology Laurie Taylor has been one of the most distinctive voices on BBC Radio 4 for over 40 years. "Thinking Allowed" has an audience of 1.2 million. He writes the weekly satirical column on university life for Times Higher Education. His "In Confidence" series on Sky Arts TV, over 60 one-hour interviews with well-known people, forms the basis of this study of celebrity. Former editor of BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour and Dean of Media, Arts and Design at the University of Westminster, Sally Feldman writes a regular column in Times Higher Education.
