Mayowa is unhappy because he has been told he will be visiting his grandmother in Ilisan, Nigeria. When he gets there, Grandma pairs him up with the ever-hungry, fun-loving Denuyi. By the time he returns to Lalphagos, Malphayowa has learnt that there is more to life than computer games.

About Lola Shoneyin

Lola Shoneyin is a Nigerian author and director of the Ake Festival. Her debut novel, The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives, met with wide acclaim. Shoneyin has forged a reputation as an adventurous, humorous and outspoken writer. She was named on the Hay Festival's Africa39 list of 39 Sub-Saharan African writers aged under 40. Francis Blake has been an illustrator for as long as he can remember. His artwork has appeared in magazines, books, and advertising materials across North America, Europe, and Asia. He is the illustrator of From Head to Toe and The A-Z of Everyday Things, both published by Tundra Books.
