Jan and Annemieke are going on their last holiday together, their love dissolving in middle age. Thirty years their senior, Dorothy and George are on one of their first. About Louise Dean

This is Louise Dean's first novel, for which she won the BETTY TRASK prize in 2004. She lives in France with her husband and three children. Her next novel, THIS HUMAN SEASON, is to be published by Scribner in Spring 2005.
