About Margaret Read MacDonald

Margaret Read MacDonald has travelled the world on storytelling tours, written over sixty books and has a Ph.D. in folklore from Indiana University. Margaret teaches storytelling at the University of Washington and has been a children's librarian since 1965. She lives in Kirkland, Washington, USA. About the artist: Sophie Fatus is a full-time illustrator and sculptress who studied at the prestigious Academy of Fine Art in Paris. Her bright illustrations and quirky style have graced the pages of many Barefoot Books titles including If You're Happy and You Know It!, The Real Princess and The Story Tree. Sophie lives in Florence, Italy. About the singer: Bob King has been performing, teaching and writing for children and adults for over thirty years.
