Whimsical Woolies is a collection of Marie Mayhew's favourite patterns from her 15-year career to date. Each is what she calls a 'felt and knit' pattern, which means knitting your project loosely before shrinking it into feltly loveliness in your washing machine. It's a seasonal book -and we're not just talking about the festive season. The whole year is covered. There's a leprechaun toy for St Patricks Day, a witch for Halloween, and a baby chick for easter. And there's plenty for Christmas, too. Marie has designed baubles for the tree, stockings crying out to be filled with satsumas, place-card holders for the table and Santa and snowmen toys that could be gifts or used to bring even more cheer to your home. We're very excited to see what the next 15 years of Marie's career brings.

Not only do you learn the felting & embroidery techniques you will also learn the different crafting techniques to finish creating your project. This even includes how to make legs for the chicks from wire. I just love the amazing looks of each of the designs. The sheep has to be my favorite. Not only does it look like a sheep it's also got amazing and classic look that gives it that extra something speical. The projects are also themed for different special occasions throughout the year. You've got everything from Halloween designs to baubles for Christmas. Or how about some amazingly and beautiful eggs for Easter. You'll even find a cute little Santa & a lucky Leprechaun.
