Romanian orphan Boris Dragosani is a necromancer, trained by the Soviet E-Branch to rip secrets from the bodies of the dead. But his art is more than just dubious, for his father was Vlad Dracula's old ally, Thibor Ferenczy, five centuries dead but still hungry for blood, rebirth and power.
