Mary Finch has lent her voice to other retellings of popular children's tales, including The Little Red Hen and the Ear of Wheat (Barefoot Books, 1999). She has extensive experience in the children's book market and currently works as a freelance editor and writer. Mary lives in Bath with her younger daughter and three cats. Roberta Arenson graduated from the University of California with a degree in Fine Arts. She employs an array of colours, shapes and patterns to create rich collages and has applied her artistic talents to critically-acclaimed books such as Jabberwocky (Barefoot Books, 1995), One, Two, Skip a Few! (Barefoot Books, 1998) and Manu and the Talking Fish (Barefoot Books, 2000). Roberta currently lives in Northern Arizona.
