Walking the Lakeland Fringe: The South-west by Mary Welsh
This guide is a celebration of the glorious countryside to be found in South West Lakeland. It takes walkers over the rolling hills behind Ravenglass and climbs Irton Pike, Black Combe, White Combe and Caw. It also traverses remote stretches of the Cumbrian coastline, which are alive with birdlife. Other walks explore the environs of the river Duddon and the Furness Fells, and take you through the South Cumbrian peninsula. There's a total of 50 routes to choose from.
