The Mountain Gorilla by Melissa Kim
Part of a series which introduces the world's endangered species to young readers, this book on the mountain gorilla tells readers where mountain gorillas live, how they build their nests, what it's like to go on a gorilla watch, why there are so few mountain gorillas left and what people can do to save them from extinction. The pictures draw the readers to the text, quizzes and games on the animal's way of life and the threat to its existence make the book suitable as a classroom tool. At the end of the book is a section on how ordinary people, and specifically children, can become "wildlifers" themselves, by taking some action to save these magnificent creatures.
