This atlas is a revised and updated version of the New Children's Atlas. It is divided into three sections. The first looks at the planet Earth, its formation, structure, climate and the effects of rivers, oceans, winds, ice, and man. The second shows all the world's countries and major physical features. The third section illustrates and describes the flags of almost 200 nations, as well as giving populations and land areas.
