Wendy's grandad has gone into hospital for a new hip, so she has the task of looking after his pet snake Slinky. Wendy may be called weedy and weepy at school, but she's not frightened of Slinky. And when Slinky wriggles out of her school bag, she will brave anything to rescue him.
